p28 pre-pulsar shuttle is a period-28 pre-pulsar shuttle oscillator. It consists of a pre-pulsar being hassled by two 14-generation shuttle mechanisms.
David Buckingham discovered the first period-28 pre-pulsar shuttle, newshuttle, in 1973. The variant shown at right was found by Maia Karpovich on November 17, 2016,[1] and incorporates shuttle mechanisms by David Buckingham (block and eater), Bill Gosper (mold), and Karpovich (blocks, blinkers, and tubs). In terms of its 53 cells, this oscillator was tied with mold on 41P7.2 and T-nosed p4 on 28P7.3 as the smallest known non-trivial period-28 oscillator until the discovery of mold on 34P14 shuttle in 2018.
